The basis for our project rises out of the urgent necessity for postdoctoral researchers to network to promote novel ideas transcending disciplinary barriers.To prevent erosion of interdisciplinary communication and to promote academic cooperation, we propose to develop a platform in the form of a recurrent event such as a lecture series. Postdoctoral researchers alternating with four invited key‐note speakers will deliver a 30‐45 minute lecture on their individual perception of the pivotal notions of knowledge, communication and cooperation and their interaction. This in turn will elucidate their application and understanding across the spectrum of disciplines taught at the UZH.
