Southeast Asia Meet Up

Freitag, 15. September 2017, 09:30 Uhr

As a culturally, politically and economically diverse and highly dynamic region, Southeast Asia has attracted increasing interest among students and researchers from various disciplines across Switzerland and in its neighbouring countries. Inspired by an initiative from the Netherlands, we would like to bring these varied strands of research together in a one-day Southeast Asia Meet Up. The Meet Up, which we envision as a regular event, is aimed at fostering exchange between academics from a wide range of disciplines in the social sciences and humanities working on the Southeast Asian region. It is a platform to present projects, share ideas, collaborate across disciplines and institutes, and make new and lasting connections within the field of Southeast Asian studies in Switzerland, and beyond. The Meet Up gives PhD students, postdocs and senior researchers the opportunity
to present new, on-going, or recently completed projects in
short presentations, at the book table or in the form of research posters. The event is open to all students and researchers interested in Southeast Asia.
