Performing Human Rights - Contested Amnesia and Historical Justice in Latin America and the Middle East

Donnerstag, 28. Juni 2018, 13:30 Uhr bis 19:00 Uhr

The invisibilization of political violence, its material traces and spatial manifestations, characterize (post-)conflict situations. Adopting performance as a
concept that is defined by repetitive and aesthetic practices, the conference addresses the various forms of performing human rights, contested amnesia and historical justice articulated as dissonant narratives and counter-semantics in Latin America and the Middle East.
